My tanning routine (BALI BODY SELF TANNING MOUSSE)

Well, I’m naturally pale so self-tanner has been a huge part of my life. I’ve tried so many products. I wasted so much money on products that I didn’t like until I met this BALI BODY SELF TANNING MOUSSE. But at the end of the day, this is just what works for me lol so if you want to see how I do my self-tanning keep scrolling!

I believe this is the best self-tanner on the market! It’s natural-looking, streak-free and most importantly, it doesn’t make me look orange or blotchy! I have been recommending this product to everyone I know because it is THAT good!! The mousse blends so seamlessly into the skin and feels very lightweight.

I usually do this on Friday or Saturday night depending on what’s going on in my life lol. If I’m lucky enough to have a great day with my kid’s behavior, then yes, I do this routine during the week.

Step 1// Shave & exfoliate to remove your dead skin cells.

Make sure to do this 1day before you apply your self-tanner. The reason why I do this is after you shave and exfoliate your skin, your pores are opened up and the skin is sensitive so I moisturize my skin and let my skin settle for a day. The way I can have a smooth surface for the application.

Step 2// Moisturize the skin.

Apply moisturizer on your wrists, ankles, heels, fingers, toes, knees, elbows, armpits and neck. These areas tend to be dry and will absorb more pigment than the others causing unevenness.

Step 3// Apply tanner in a cool, dry area.

You do not want to sweat while you applying your Tanner so make sure to do that in a cool room. Also, when you apply, make sure you apply and spread from the center of your body parts towards outside. NOTE( using a buffing brush for your hands, ankles and touching up small areas makes it easy ) (use the leftover for your feet, hands, and armpits to make your tan looks natural do not put tanner directly to those areas ) I use SwanMyst Self Tanning Mitt.

Step 4// Be mindful to wipe some off on your knees and elbows as well as any part of your body that bends and your nails and palms if you get any.

Use wet wipes and wipe some off from those areas. That is it for step 4.

Step 5// Wear baggy clothes after you dry your body

Don’t wear fitted clothes! Make sure to wear baggy clothes! Now all you have to do is wait for 4-8hrs depends on how you want your tan.

Step 6// Rinse it off with warm water but colder than usual!

I realized that if I rinse it off with water temperature that I usually use, the tan comes off too much. (according to my husband, he said he can burn his body with the water temperature I usually use just so you know how hot it is lol) You don’t want to waste your time or money so keep it low if your tan to be visible.

So now, to keep your tan lasting longer, keep your body moisturized!
